noblemadnessthere won't be much, because it's very short. there isn't even any sherlock/john smaug + bilbo action :(
- this morning i told my sister "of course watson will be in hobbiton. watson is a hufflepuff. hobbiton is hufflepuff village*."
(though in reality i think of watson as a gryffindor. it's the breakneck speed at which he decides to risk breaking his own neck.)
- i really love martin freeman as bilbo. he's the right age, for one thing, and he has this natural plenty-put-upon look XD he's also so very expressive and when he's scared YOU'RE SCARED FOR HIM because his eyes and mouth go big and the rest of him seems to SHRINK and OMG SAVE THE POOR LITTLE THING!!!11
- ...what is galadriel doing there. not that i should be surprised, really, because i've already heard that there will be some significant changes to the hobbit in the films. i zoned out or else fast-forwarded through the wtf-where-did-this-come from scenes in the lotr movies, i can probably do the same here xD
- OH BILBO. TAKE ME NOW.

- kili xD you darling. such wide eyes. so dwarves looklike abercrombie & fitch models human when they're young!
- i am sort of hmmm on the dwarves' character designs. either the faces look UNDERmade-up, or computer generated. they lack the gruffness and hardiness that i've associated with the book!dwarves. thorin, for example, is a bit too pretty for me.
- thorin's song... is like the best thing ever. seriously. i never expected they'd make it that grim and bare. it sends shivers up my spine.

2. humans = gryffindor
3. elves = ravenclaw
4. orcs = slytherin
