heard this on the radio a while back, and heard it performed on ANC this morning. made an effort to translate the lyrics. this was quickly done, though, so i might come back and edit some bits later.

i think it's cool that high-profile local bands are making an effort to further LGBT rights with their music. there may be some parts of the lyrics that still grate, but baby steps.

video, lyrics, and translator's notes ahead. translations are in PINK. corrections are welcome; i just found the lyrics online and tweaked it a bit, mostly for spelling.

hi guys.

first off, i want you to sign up for this site and listen to noelle aka [personal profile] thelittleone's song. she's a very talented musician and artist and this cover of "a little pain" by olivia marks her nico nico douga debut.

second, if you're in the banawe area and happen to find yourself in need of food and drink, i want you to try 2 outfits: serenitea (if you haven't gone to any of their branches yet) and movenpick bakeshop.

many praises have been sung about serenitea and i've only been there once, so i'm going to hold off on adding to it. so let me briefly plug movenpick. i returned to it today because my first experience there was memorable. the food was great, the prices reasonable for the generous portions, and the staff were friendly and energetic. and none of that changed one bit during my next visit!

it's easy enough to overlook as a simple bakeshop, but it does offer great chinese and filipino meals (and a small american breakfast selection - though availability seems to be limited) and its variety of baked goods is vast and impressive. the owner is also super nice! he personally recommended the raisin bread. we bought a bunch of it for christmas dinner.

as for me, i'll keep coming back just for their fresh apple juice. i haven't been disappointed with anything i've ordered there (i've had tapsilog, beef mami, kikiam and lengua estofado so far. their kikiam is just so savory, with a light, crisp skin) but having freshly squeezed apple juice on the side makes everything so much tastier :3
